I am Talha Abid, a freelance developer in Lahore who delivers SEO for US plumbing companies with specialists on my team, working US hours since 2019. Many plumbing searches are emergencies. Those customers pick from the map pack and call the first number that answers. Plumbing SEO gets you into that map and onto that first call, with service pages for the jobs that pay best and reviews that make the choice easy.

What does SEO for Plumbers include?

Plumber SEO is monthly work that gets a plumbing company found when someone nearby searches for an emergency plumber, a drain cleaning or a water heater replacement. I handle the Google Business Profile, emergency and service pages, city pages, click-to-call setup and call tracking. It suits licensed local plumbing companies that answer their phones and want more organic calls.

A good fit if

  • Licensed plumbing companies that answer the phone during the hours they advertise
  • Shops that want more water heater, drain and sewer jobs as well as emergency calls
  • Owners willing to share field details for service and city pages

Probably not for you if

  • Companies advertising 24-hour service with nobody on call at night
  • Plumbers who need calls this week, which is a job for Local Services Ads or Google Ads
  • Anyone expecting a guaranteed map pack position

What changes for your business?

  1. 01

Map pack rankings for emergency and service plumbing in your area

  2. 02

Pages for drain cleaning, water heaters, repipes and leak detection that rank

  3. 03

A missed-call text-back so an unanswered emergency call still becomes a job

Emergency plumber pages that match real availability

A burst pipe or a sewer backup sends people to their phone with wet hands. They search emergency plumber or 24 hour plumber plus their city and call within minutes. Your emergency page has to load fast, show the number at the top and state your real response hours. I build separate sections for burst pipes, sewer backups, overflowing toilets and no hot water. If you charge an after-hours fee, the page says so up front.

Honesty matters here for a practical reason. If the page and your Google Business Profile say open 24 hours and nobody answers at night, you collect angry reviews. So I match the claim to your operation. True round-the-clock shops say so everywhere. Shops with evening and weekend coverage say same-day emergency service with clear hours. Both kinds of shop can build pages for emergency searches.

Water heater and drain pages by job

Planned plumbing work is searched by job name. Water heater searches split into repair, replacement, and tank versus tankless, and each deserves its own page. Drain work splits into drain cleaning, hydro jetting, sewer camera inspection and sewer line repair. Repipes, leak detection, sump pumps and gas lines get pages only if you do them. Each page explains symptoms, your process, what affects the price and the areas you cover.

City pages then connect those services to the places you serve. I write them with real details. Examples are the towns your trucks reach quickly, older neighborhoods with cast iron or galvanized pipe, and hard water that shortens water heater life. You tell me what you see in the field and I turn it into pages. I own the technical side, the pages and the tracking. Writers and link builders on my team support me, and you deal only with me.

Click-to-call and tracking for every plumbing call

Plumbing leads mostly arrive as phone calls. Every page gets a click-to-call button above the fold and a sticky call bar on mobile, and I test both on real phones. The number is text a phone can dial, never an image. I also check your site speed. A slow page on a weak signal in a flooded basement loses the call to the next listing.

Then I make the calls countable. A tracking number on the website shows which calls came from organic search. On the Google Business Profile, I can set a tracking number as the primary phone and keep your real number as an additional line. That way your listing data stays consistent. Missed calls trigger an automatic text back, so an unanswered emergency still gets a reply. The monthly report lists calls by source next to positions for your main searches.

SEO for Plumbers: the questions buyers ask.

We already run Google Ads. Do we still need SEO?

Ads stop the moment you stop paying. SEO compounds. Most plumbing companies run both and shift budget to organic as rankings grow.

Can I target emergency plumber searches if I am not open 24 hours?

Yes, as long as the page tells the truth. Emergencies also happen in the evening and on weekends, when many shops still take calls. I build the page around same-day emergency service with your real hours, and set the same hours on your Google Business Profile. Claiming 24 hours when the phone goes unanswered at night only produces bad reviews.

Should I put a call tracking number on my Google Business Profile?

You can, if it is set up correctly. I add the tracking number as the primary phone and keep your main business number as an additional phone on the profile. Google still sees the number that matches your other listings, and you see which calls came from the profile. Without tracking, profile calls and website calls blur together in your reports.

What is the difference between Local Services Ads, the map pack and organic results?

They are three separate parts of the results page. Local Services Ads sit at the very top, and you pay per lead. The map pack comes from your Google Business Profile. Organic results below it come from your website pages. SEO works on the map pack and the organic results. Many plumbing companies run Local Services Ads alongside SEO.

How many city pages does a plumbing company need?

One for each city or town you really serve and can say something true about. I usually start with the places closest to your shop and the ones that send you the best jobs. Each page needs local detail, such as housing age, common pipe materials and typical response times. A long list of copied pages with only the city name changed should stay unpublished.
